The Ultimate Weekend Bag Recommendations From Women Who Travel A Lot

The girls came through for this.

As epiphanies go, this one wasn’t the most profound but perhaps the most helpful to my future self. As I was thinking about the upcoming summer, I realised that I was going to need a practical weekend bag. Not a full suitcase — budget airline restrictions are getting tighter — but something bigger than a backpack as I’m happy to leave the 3-in-1 products to other people’s boyfriends. More and more friends are taking their weddings abroad, and I want to be able to bring my best looks without worrying about my shoes touching my dress. The light bulb moment arrived: I need a bag for this.

I had a quick browse but I was struggling to find something functional and pretty, so I asked my audience and they really came through! I’ve linked the best ones they recommended here in case you’re also on the hunt for a good weekend bag for your travels this year. I hope it helps!

Some quick notes:

  • Nearly all of these bags come in black, so while I’ve linked my favourite colourway, definitely check for altenatives, especially if you’re looking for a monochrome carryall.

  • There’s a real range of prices here, from £20 all the way up to the hundreds. Annoyingly, I can’t work out how to display the prices on the images, so it’s worth clicking through and checking because some of the sleekest are also the least expensive. I for one am seriously considering the Uniqlo Tote!

I always try to recommend products I would use myself and all opinions shared are my own. I will always disclose when I work with a brand on any paid partnership.
