Sorting your Autumn wardrobe for transitional weather, knitwear updates and some… minimal cottagecore?
Happy September, everyone – my favourite season is back! I’m such an autumn lover, from the chai lattes to the knitwear I’m completely on board with the days getting slightly shorter and colder in exchange for cosy evenings, bonfires and Halloween.
One of my favourite parts of autumn is the fashion. Give me layers every day of the week, please! I thought I’d put together an edit of my favourite new autumn style pieces below, organised into helpful categories so you can find the items you’re looking for.
As per, I’m all about slow purchasing and would encourage you to buy thoughtfully. Most of the items in my wardrobe are from years gone by, and when I shop I try to follow the 30 wear rule – would highly recommend! I’ve tried to include some pre-loved items in here too, and some higher end pieces that I think will go the distance long-term. However I know a lot of you are looking for affordable items, so there’s also a collection of those too!
If you’d like to see an even bigger edit, click here to go to my Shop page, where I’ve curated even more pieces. If you’re looking for a more curated selection, look no further than the below. So grab a coffee, get comfortable and have a scroll ☕️
Affordable Chic
For when you want to do a new season wardrobe update, but your bank balance says you need to talk.
Cottagecore But Minimal
You can’t take one scroll on the Explore page before coming across Cottagecore and Danish style – pastels, frills and Pride and Prejudice vibes. If you’re a minimal style lover like me, here’s some pieces I found that indulge your cottagecore desires without steering too far from the rest of your wardrobe.
Cosy Knitwear
Give me every almond-coloured sweater available, please.
Autumnal Loungewear
Taking cosy to a level 10 with some new loungewear. When it’s a co-ord it’s meeting-appropriate, right?
Wide Leg Trousers
I am so happy that wide-leg trousers are in style this season. They’re comfy and flattering and generally ten out of ten.
Cute Lingerie
September is a time for decluttering, and for me that means going through the underwear drawer I’ve been neglecting for months and months. Which also means time for some new pairs!
Chic Outerwear
If it doesn’t make me look like a Parisian honey, I’m out.
Shoes
Autumn and spring are the best because you can wear every kind of shoe. Boots, trainers, sliders… this list has got you covered.
Bags
I am very into squishy leather look bags at the moment, and I think you’ll see that come through in this collection. I apologise for nothing.
love <3
I love this so much! Honestly, the leather purses are such a look. And I just got a chain necklace today and feel validated now so thank you 🙂
Lovely selection as per 🙂 with the lingerie bit I wondered if you’d ever heard of the subreddit “abrathatfits” it’s so helpful and I think makes people appreciate their bodies even more which I’m all about!
