I’ve curated the best of the beauty gifts this winter – here are my favourites.

When it comes to Christmas, beauty brands go above and beyond to create the items you’d love to see under your tree. Any skincare, makeup or wellness brand worth their salt has a stocking filler, advent calendar or luxury gift ready for beauty lovers like me to receive with open arms come December. As you can imagine, for a cruelty-free gal with a love of glowing skin and an extensive bathing routine, I try to get hold of as many beauty gifts as I can each year so I can test them out and recommend the ones worth having. So without further ado, here are my 2020 Christmas favourites – the beauty gifts worth dropping some heavy hints for.

Glow-Giving Skincare
The bauble I’m most excited to see on my tree is Pai’s The Annie miniature rosehip oil. I love their signature oil, and the packaging of this Christmas gift is adorable too. On the topic of oils, I recommend the Votary Darlings gift set every year. If you’re keen to make a skincare investment, it’s a great choice.
Glossy Makeup Favourites
We can’t talk about makeup gifts without discussing the queen herself, Charlotte Tilbury. Every year she comes out with some incredible Christmas gifts and this year is no exception. I’m very into the Super Nudes eyeshadow palette and the Filmstar Bronze and Glow set. I am obsessed with the VB Beauty gifts this year – from the nylon makeup bag to the Posh Lipstick Edit, everything is gorgeous and would make the perfect gift for a person who loves their minimal, luxury makeup. The most unique gift for a makeup-lover I’ve come across is the new Byredo Colour Sticks – I have the shade Vienna and it’s the perfect multi-tasking gloss.
Home Comforts
As it’s looking like we’ll be at home a lot more next year too, get the people who love staying in something they’ll really appreciate. Although not strictly beauty, The White Company do the best slippers – I’ve hardly taken mine off since I bought them. Candles are a staying home essential too, a worthy investment for anyone who loves a cosy evening.
For Parents, Grandparents, and Anyone Who Needs Some TLC After The Bloody Year We’ve Had
This is the edit for anyone who needs to decompress after the most stressful year in living memory. For bodycare, bathing and other nice things, my personal favourites are the gift sets from ThisWorks. Their pillow spray is a permanent fixture on my bedside table, and they also have bath salts and roll-on scents to help you wind down.
Starting 2021 Right
There are some people who just love a fresh start. The Type A’s of the world. Sorry, can’t relate. But hey, they deserve a Christmas gift too, so here’s some of my favourite new year, new me products.
Beautiful Fragrances
I always associate Christmas with perfume – my dad gets my mum a bottle of Chanel No. 5 every few years, and my mum gets Nana a bottle of Estee Lauder Spellbound as she can’t find it in Macclesfield anymore. Fragrance is always a welcome gift. Here are some that I’d love to see under my tree.
